January 24, 2010 another 5.5 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti.
The quake epicenter was 41 km west of the capital Port-au-Prince, Associated Press reports referring to U.S. Geological Survey.
No information on victims and casualties is available.
Meanwhile, according to Haitian Minister, 150.000 quake victims were buried in a mass grave. According to local authorities, death toll may reach 200.000 and even 300.000.
As NEWS.am reported previously, January 12, 2010 a 7.0-magnitude earthquake hit Haiti followed by 5.9 and 5.5 aftershocks. Another powerful 5.9 and 6.1 magnitude tremors struck Haiti on January 20 and 22 respectively. January 23, local authorities officially announced the termination of rescue and search operations in the country.
