Armenian and Iranian Ministers of Justice Hrayr Tovmasyan and Morteza Bakhtiari signed in Tehran an agreement on cooperation in the legal and judicial domains. 

During the meeting, Bakhtiari informed that he sees no obstacle standing in the way of developing relations between official Tehran and Yerevan, and pointed to Armenian President’s correct stance with respect to the sanctions that are imposed against Iran. 

Separately, Armenia’s Justice Minister met with Iran Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, who noted that the broadening of relations between Tehran and Yerevan will contribute to establishing closer ties among the countries in the region. In addition, he underscored the need for cooperation between the judicial bodies of the two countries.        

In his turn, Hrayr Tovmasyan stated that the ties between official Tehran and Yerevan should be looked upon as a model of cooperation for the countries in the Middle East, and added that the Armenian and Iranian leaders intend to develop cooperation.
