YEREVAN. – The Government of Armenia launched the e-cadastre.am Internet system, in early 2012, which enables people to submit online applications to the State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre.  

To note, this system won an award this year, at the GITI 2012 technology contest held in Georgia, as the most successful IT innovative solution that enhances business processes.    

A total of thirty online applications are submitted on a monthly basis, but this number is hoped to reach at least one hundred, the Committee Chairman’s advisor Khazhak Karayan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.      

He added that most people in Armenia still visit the cadastre offices in person and, due to public passiveness, an e-society is not being created in the country at a sufficient pace.   

To note, e-signatures are needed to register online at Armenia’s State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre.
