Israel is a threat to Islamic world and regional countries will see its downfall, Iranian Supreme leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said at the meeting with Mauritania President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz. “One day, nations of the region will certainly witness annihilation of the Zionist regime but the time depends on the work of Islamic countries and Muslim nations,” IRNA news agency quotes Supreme leader.

He also underlined that Israel strives to increase its prestige and continues expansionist policy in the region.

Ayatollah called Mauritanian government’s decision to serve ties with Israel “a good pattern for a number of Arab countries.”
