YEREVAN.- Iran’s Embassy in Yerevan is not commenting on personal statements, spokesman for the embassy Hamid Moradkhani told Armenian News-NEWS.am in response to the recent remark by Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan.

Earlier Azerbaijani press reported Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsen Pak-Ayeen said “Iran considers Nagorno-Karabakh is a territory of Azerbaijan.”

“Iran thinks that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should be resolved through peaceful negotiations,” Moradkhani stressed.

“We are convinced that regional countries are able to solve their problems themselves. Iran is ready to make efforts in the peaceful resolution of the conflict. Iran’s position on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has not changed. Therefore, the Iranian embassy in Armenia is not commenting on personal statements.”
