President of Russia Vladimir Putin held bilateral meetings with his Kazakh, Armenian and Ukrainian counterparts Nursultan Nazarbayev, Serzh Sargsyan and Viktor Yanukovich on the margins of the CIS summit of the heads of states.

Spokesperson for the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov said the sides discussed issues on bilateral relations, trade and economic ties as well as integration processes in the CIS area, RIA Novosti reported.

The meeting of the CIS Heads of States Council with the participation of presidents of Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Tajikistan, prime ministers of Azerbaijan and Moldova as well as the head of Kyrgyzstan was held in Ashgabat. The sides signed a package of 20 agreements.
