U.S. Senate endorsed the draft that empowers the country’s president to apply sanctions against Iranian oil suppliers and leaders. This will increase pressure on Iran on its nuke program.

These sanctions can be directed against the companies that import oil products into Iran without funding from U.S. financial institutions, gazeta.ru informs.

Earlier, U.S. House of representatives approved a similar decision and currently it is possible that a single document is drawn up to become effective further.
