YEREVAN. – The poverty in Armenia was assessed at 35.1 percent, with the 2011 results, but this will drop 2-3 percentage points with the 2012 results, Finance Minister Vache Gabrielyan said Monday during a year-end press conference.     

“We surmounted the [global economic] crisis, but not the aftermath of the crisis,” he said adding that income is being polarized all over the world.   

The present-day economic activity in the developed countries is called “growth without jobs,” and, as per Armenia’s Finance Minister, the country has placed the emphasis on job creation to evade “growth without jobs.”
