Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki considers Iranian uranium enrichment in Turkey possible.

Mottaki informed that had an extensive and constructive conversation over uranium enrichment with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Iranian FM stated in the interview with Turkish TRT TV “40 minutes” transmission. According to him, a fuel sales agreement should be signed with Turkey and if the parties agree on timing and volumes, then they can speak of uranium enrichment.

Iran doubled gas supplies to Turkey and meets part of its energy demand, Mottaki underlined.

Referring to international community’s toughening sanctions against Iran, Mottaki emphasized he believes in Turkey’s uprightness.

As NEWS.am reported previously, February 2, Iranian FM arrived in Turkey to participate in 21st sitting of the Turkish-Iranian commission on economic and trade cooperation in Ankara. He will hold bilateral meetings with Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other high ranking officials.
