YEREVAN.- Armenian News-NEWS.am has revealed new details about the Wednesday accident that involved a military truck, which was transporting petrol in Vayots Dzor Region.

The press secretary of Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am, that the accident happened when the vehicle tried to avoid clashing with another car moving opposite the truck. The vehicle fell into a canyon.

Artsrun Hovhannisyan also noted that there were two soldiers in the truck, both from the Vayk’s military unit. They are captain Husik Stepanyan and contract soldier Artur Gevorgyan.

According to our sources, Arthur Gevorgyan has died and Husik Stepanyan is in a critical condition.
