YEREVAN. - Armenian presidential candidate, incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan attended the opening of the Training Center of the Central Bank of Armenia in the resort town of Dilijan, Tavush region. The head of the state toured the building and talked to representatives of the Central Bank. The visit was part of Sargsyan’s campaign events.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia Arthur Javadyan said that construction was carried out depite the global crisis and the associated difficulties.
“Here we can organize high level international workshops and trainings,” the chairman of the Central Bank said. Construction of the center has been implemented by an Italian company Renco.
The presidential elections in Armenia will be held on February 18. The campaign was launched on January 21.
