YEREVAN. - Balanced development of regions is an imperative for Armenia, stated the presidential candidate, incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan, speaking to voters in Noyemberyan. He added that villages and cities should become more comfortable for the Armenians.

“How to make them attractive and economically active? How to keep young people in the village? I think that these issues are extremely important, and today I have become certain in this. People still have no idea how, by what means they will develop their village, their community. They need to be engaged in agriculture, to cultivate the land and raise cattle. Every one of us has to do their job.

But sometimes truisms do not satisfy people. Therefore, specific programs are required to improve the living standards of the people.

Balanced regional development is imperative for Armenia. This means it is not just the development of infrastructure, but also the introduction of a new, responsive progress. Everything that hinders us to develop needs to be pushed out of our thinking. This, of course, does not apply to the traditions of our people, underlying in the family,” said President Sargsyan.
