YEREVAN.- CIS observers held meetings with the leadership of campaign headquarters of the candidates Raffi Hovannisian and Arman Melikyan.

Earlier, First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee - CIS Executive Secretary Vladimir Garkun met with the senior police officials. He was informed about ongoing work on the formulation and clarifying of the voter list, as well as measures to maintain public order during the campaign.

Garkun also held a meeting with the head of the OSCE/ODIHR mission Heidi Tagliavini. During the meeting the parties discussed election campaign, agreed to maintain a working relationship and to hold a meeting of heads of missions on the Election Day.

He also visited Shirak Region where held meetings with local officials.
