Karabakh conflict went too far to be resolved quickly and easily, Russian Duma speaker Sergey Naryshkin said in Paris.

During the meeting with MPs of French National Assembly, Naryshkin noted that it is wrong to expect speediest resolution of the conflict.

The issue on referendum is a stumbling block in the work on peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, he said, at the same time noting that it can be solved.

He did not share the opinion of one of French lawmakers who called Medvedev-Aliyev-Sargsyan platform a failure.

“You call Medvedev-Aliyev-Sargsyan a failure. I do not agree with your assessment,” Naryshkin said, adding that trilateral meeting yielded results. A number of coordinated positions were elaborated for them to move forward, Russian official said.
