YEREVAN.- E-voting for Armenia’s diplomatic and consular missions abroad started this Saturday at 8AM Yerevan time, Voters that are at diplomatic service and their households are participating in the presidential vote. It will last five days and will end on February 13 at 8PM, Yerevan time.
The list of people who will vote by electronic means includes 243 names. At the end of last year they received through the Foreign Ministry relevant personal passwords and the envelope containing the instructions for electronic voting. Voters will vote via Internet, through a program that allows electronic voting online on CEC website.
At the meeting this Friday a sample ballot was finalized. Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission Tigran Mukuchyan said the voters can vote multiple times, that is, they will have the ability to change their vote, but the system will take into account only the last one.
Results of electronic voting will be finalized, and the protocol will be published after the close of polls in the territory of Armenia, February 18, after 8PM.
