YEREVAN. - If 25 years ago Azerbaijan knew what the situation will be after quarter of a century, it would not start a war, said Armenian presidential candidate, incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan, during the meeting with voters in the administrative district of Nork in Yerevan.

“We will continue the works, as we did until now, opposing to claims and tricks, and consistently spreading the truth around the world. We have been able to do this to a large extent in the past few years, and if 25 years ago Azerbaijan knew what the situation will be, it would not start the war,” the president said, adding that Azerbaijan also does not know what the situation will be in 25 years, otherwise it would have behaved peacefully in the negotiations and would not attempt to blackmail.

He noted that the possibilities of the Armenian side financially are inferior to Azerbaijan.

“By that, I mean bribing, waste of funds on illogical actions. The fantasy of Azerbaijan has exceeded all boundaries. They have gone as far, as proclaiming Yerevan an Azerbaijani territory,” noted President Sargsyan. “Armenia intends to continue to work consistently and our Diaspora indispensably contributes to the process.”

According to him, Armenia may not seem particularly active in terms of propaganda, but in the negotiations the Armenian side is the one to agree with the proposals.
