YEREVAN. – The Networked Readiness Index (NRI) 2013 was issued on Wednesday, where Armenia made progress by twelve spots, and is ranked 82nd from 184 countries. Acting Premier Tigran Sargsyan stated this Thursday’s interim Cabinet meeting.

“[But] we still have serious work to do because in the region we are behind both Azerbaijan and Georgia. The gab with Azerbaijan has reduced, but 82nd spot cannot satisfy us,” Sargsyan added.

He commissioned the Transport and Communication Ministry to submit a program toward registering further NRI progress, especially since the Information Technology sector is a priority direction for Armenia
