YEREVAN. – The Armenian-Russian interstate commission held a session on handing—to the Armenian side—of the plots of land and realty of the Russian military base in Armenia. The event was held in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan, from Wednesday to Friday.

In addition, Armenia’s First Deputy Defense Minister, Davit Tonoyan, received Valery Yevnevich, the Assistant to the Russian Minister of Defense, who is among the Russian delegation visiting Armenia. They discussed bilateral military cooperation, and the avenues for optimizing and modernizing the Russian military base in Armenia.      

During the aforesaid session, the parties signed the acts with respect to handing and receiving the plots of land and realty of the Russian military base in Armenia, and the minutes of the session of the Armenian-Russian interstate commission.
