YEREVAN. – Armenia-based companies have begun actively using technological solutions. 

Armenian Union of Information Technology Enterprises Executive Director Karen Vardanyan stated the aforesaid during a press conference on Wednesday.

And to strengthen the tie between the business and the Information Technology (IT), the sixth annual DigiTec Business Forum will take place in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan, on June 21 and 22. Sixty companies, including from Italy, Singapore, the US, Russia, and Georgia will participate at the event.     

Vardanyan also stated that a radical breakthrough has taken place in Armenia in the last five years, as the business sector has started to pay a serious attention to technological solutions. 

In his turn, Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia (UMBA) President Arsen Ghazaryan added that there is no longer any big company in Armenia that does not have at least one computer engineer and programmer.  

Ghazaryan also noted that the country’s major commercial networks likewise are interested in investing management programs. The UMBA head added that, in the past five years, the cost of such programs has reduced, the quality has risen, and there is competition in Armenia’s respective market.
