STEPANAKERT. – The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Ministry of Defense (NKR MOD) denied the allegation that the NKR army was involved in the death of an Azerbaijani officer.    

The Karabakh armed forces are not involved in that incident, and the Azerbaijani party should seek the perpetrators within its own army, NKR MOD Press Secretary Senor Hasratyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.   

“The NKR Defense Army maintains the ceasefire,” he added. 

To note, the Azerbaijani media had reported that Azerbaijani army officer Kainat Abdullayev was killed a day earlier and allegedly as a result of a ceasefire violation.
