GYUMRI. – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Friday visited Art Expo, a cultural exhibition of CIS states in the city of Gyumri.

The exhibition is being held within “Gyumri – CIS Cultural Capital 2013” program that includes around 50 events.

President Sargsyan toured the pavilions and talked to the artists, musicians and representatives of traditional handicraft from Armenia’s regions as well as from CIS and Baltic states, the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reports from Gyumri.

In addition to the pavilions representing different countries, there are boots dedicated to famous Armenian writer Hovhannes Tumanyan and director Sergei Parajanov.

Several other events, including sculpture festival (Symposium of Stones), festival of Gyumri handicraft, “Culture and Information Technology” conference, will be held till September 22.
