YEREVAN. – The passed time of independence has taught us a lesson, and we must build up our future using the lesson, MP from ARF Dashnaktsutyun parliamentary group said.

“I think the first major lesson of independence is that achieving and maintaining independence is not a one-day action, this implies the daily work,” Artsvik Minasyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The second lesson of independence is belief in self-efficacy, while the third is that the expectations and actual results of independence do not correspond to each other and need to be balanced and realistic, MPsaid.

Minasyan believes it is necessary to understand difference between the concept of a state and authorities, which should always be kept in mind.

“We all are the state. The territory of our state will continue to expand, and we must be demanding citizens. Only a demanding citizen will be able to force the authorities to carry out real reforms,” Minasyan concluded.

Armenia marks Independence Day on September 21.
