YEREVAN. – Kaspersky Lab will help to make Armenia’s cyberspace more secure, Eugene Kaspersky said during the opening of new training and certification center in Yerevan.

He noted that there are many other hotbeds of tension where protection of national cyberspace is one of the priorities, but added one must not politicize company’s work.

Kaspersky said that cyber systems around the world are almost the same and contain the same operating systems, applications, the Internet, this is the reason that Lab recommendations are almost the same - international cooperation, national regulations, technology, products, services, and training.

“We are keeping long distance away from political issues. We offer our solutions to all those who came to us to protect their networks and national security,” he said.

Kaspersky Lab’s successful association with Armenia began four years ago following the signing of a memorandum of understanding entitled ‘Safe Armenia’ with the Ministry of the Economy. This information security project led to the implementation of a number of educational programs in Armenian schools, specialist training for IT administrators in state and commercial organizations and discounted licenses for some Kaspersky Lab products used within government structures.
