YEREVAN. – The presidents of Armenia and Russia Serzh Sargsyan and Vladimir Putin laid a wreath at the Memorial to the Armenian Genocide victims.  He planted a fir in the Alley of honorable guests.

President Vladimir Putin arrived on a state visit to Armenia on Monday.

Due to ongoing repair in the Museum-Institute of Armenian Genocide on the eve of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the museum is relocated. It is for this reason that President Vladimir Putin could not visit the museum.

The previous visit of Vladimir Putin in Armenia took place in March 2005.
