YEREVAN. – Prime Minister of Armenia, Tigran Sargsyan, received a delegation led by Adel Azar, Head of the Statistical Centre of Iran.

“We are glad to start cooperation with Iran the field of statistics, too. We are convinced that this cooperation stems from the interests of our two countries,” Sargsyan said.   

In the PM’s words, closer ties in this domain likewise will contribute to the deepening of relations between the two countries.   

In turn, Azar noted that economic and humanitarian relations between Armenia and Iran are at a high level, and their objective is to strengthen this interaction in the field of statistics, too, informs the Armenian government press service.

In this context, the interlocutors discussed the respective projects that are envisioned for the future.

Subsequently, the heads of the Armenian National Statistical Service and the Statistical Centre of Iran signed a memorandum of understanding.

The signing of this document will enable Armenia and Iran to cooperate the field of statistics.
