April 7, a massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Indonesian Sumatra Island.

According to U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) the quake epicenter was 205 km of the Sinabang city, at the depth of 46 kilometers.

No fatalities and destructions were reported.

The quake triggered panic among the local population. A tsunami warning was issued, but was lifted in two hours, AFP reports.

Some cities have seen power cut, however mobile service was not suspended.
