The resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is one of the EU priorities, Lithuanian FM Linas Linkevičius said.
During the press conference following a meeting of EU-Armenia cooperation council, Linkevičius welcomed the meeting between Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents that took place on November 19 in Vienna. He said it is encouraging that the presidents agreed to continue talks in coming month.
The diplomat said EU’s position remains the same: the main mediator between the parties is OSCE Minsk Group. However, EU will do its best to help them to build trust between the parties.
At the same time Linas Linkevičius expressed concern over growing militarist rhetoric, noting that this prevents from the settlement of the conflict.
