YEREVAN. – Latvia’s newly appointed Ambassador to Armenia Elita Gavele (residency in Tbilisi) presented the copies of her credentials to Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian on Tuesyda.
Congratulating the ambassador on her appointment, Nalbandian praised friendly relations between the states. He expressed hope that Latvia’s Ambassador will make her considerable contribution to further strengthening of cooperation in different areas. Edward Nalbandian promised the Ministry’s assistance to the diplomat during her mission.
In turn, Ambassador Gavele said Latvia attaches importance to deepening of relations with Armenia and assured that she would do her utmost for further expansion of cooperation between the states.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the issues related to cooperation, intensification of dialogue at inter-parliamentary level as well as deepening of trade and economic ties.
They also touched upon Armenia-EU relationship and regional issues.
