China still stands for the diplomatic solution to the Iranian nuke problem, said permanent representative of China to UN Li Baodong after the G6 meeting on settlement of Iranian nuke issue in New York.

According to him, Beijing continues to back double approach to the matter.

“Presently double approach is focused on diplomacy,” BBC quotes Baodong.

In his turn, RF permanent representative to UN Vitaly Churkin told journalists that G6 had “good discussions.” “I believe no one wishes sanctions to be imposed, but diplomatic solution,” he said adding that if Tehran wants negotiations, it should be the initiator.
