YEREVAN. - At the initiative of the Yerevan City Mayor Taron Margaryan, on the New Year’s Eve the City Hall of the Armenian capital prepared a surprise for more than 30 children living in Yerevan, City Hall press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

On New Year’s Eve children received gifts for which they asked in their letters sent to Santa Claus.

For the second year kids living in Yerevan send letters to Santa, which are delivered to the Yerevan City Mayor. Taron Margaryan personally makes ​​sure that all children receive the gifts.

“Last year we have received 10 letters, while this year the number has exceeded 30 letters. Girls asked Santa mostly for dolls and boys ask for toy cars and tablets,” Maria Baraghamyan, the head of the tourism department of Yerevan City Hall, added.
