YEREVAN. – South Caucasus Railways transported over 7,100 passengers from December 26, 2013 till January 7, 2014.

The company representative told Armenian News-NEWS.am that most of the passengers were traveling inside the country and 1,200 took Yerevan-Tbilisi-Yerevan route.

The South Caucasus Railways is a 100% subsidiary of the Russian Railways Company and manages Armenian railways on concession. The contract is signed for 30 years in 2008 with 10 years of possible prolongations.
