YEREVAN. – The National Self-Determination Union (NSU) will hold a rally on Friday at Liberty Square in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan.  

Opposition NSU Chairman, ex-presidential candidate Paruyr Hayrikyan informed the aforesaid at a press conference on Tuesday. 

Hayrikyan noted that the year past will remain in the history of the Armenian nation with numerous adverse manifestations.  

“We saw that some negative decisions were adopted against Armenia and the Armenian people, and [the latter] was disregarded. Let’s hope that these mistakes will be rectified in 2014,” the NSU leader said, and added that civic vigilance has increased in Armenia.

As for the rally-march, which was held on January 18 and against mandatory pension reform, the ex-presidential candidate stated that the people are depreciating the matters that are important for them.  

“Instead of fighting against the whip-bearer, they are fighting against the whip. Being against the [Russian-led] Customs Union, they said nothing against the Customs Union,” Paruyr Hayrikyan said.
