YEREVAN. – The development of the medical service is among the priorities. 

Defense Minister of Armenia, Seyran Ohanyan, stated the aforementioned at a press conference on Friday.

In his words, the development of the country’s medical service is progressing.

“The provision of medical material is at the focus,” the minister added. 

Ohanyan also stressed that, considering the cases of soldiers’ deaths as a result of illnesses in the past and in the present, serious prophylactic measures are being taken. 

“Doctors say the illnesses which have led to the soldiers’ deaths were fulminant, and medicine is powerless in such cases,” he stated.

The minister added that they are discussing the setting up of a joint team. 

“But there are shortfalls, and the ‘punishment’ comes very quickly,” Seyran Ohanyan assured.
