YEREVAN. – What is happening in Ukraine is a peak of crisis in the post-Soviet countries, Armenian expert Ruben Mehrabyan believes.

The situation in Ukraine is not merely Ukrainian phenomenon, Mhrabyan told reporters on Wednesday. He noted that not only the future of the country, but the future of all post-Soviet states, including Russia of course, is being determined.  

The expert emphasized that the processes will also show Russia’s future: whether it will be an imperial Russia or a country without imperial ambitions and pursuing a policy of mutual respect for the neighbors, and not going further in accordance with existing policies, especially towards the creation of the Soviet Union 2.
