YEREVAN. – Likelihood of a new war in Nagorno-Karabakh is low, head of Noravank fund Gagik Harutyunyan told reporters.

Harutyunyan said Azerbaijan is in a shaky position that is related to Turkey’s serious problems in the Middle East due to Syrian crisis.

“The world has become multipolar and the processes are more dynamic. We must defend our national interests more profoundly,” Harutyunyan said.

The expert added that Azerbaijani aggression remains the first threat to Armenia, and the Russian military base is a deterrent.

He is confident that the interests of Armenia and Russia coincide. Russia is not an angle, but a state seeing its interests in our country, he emphasized.
