YEREVAN. – The international agencies must voice more targeted and direct criticism against border incidents in Karabakh conflict zone and Armenia-Azerbaijan border, Deputy Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan said.

Armenian official commented on statements of a number of international agencies in connection with the recent border incidents.

Kocharyan noted that formal neutral stance of the mediators is clear.

“As a rule they do not support any of the parties. But in fact it is clear what party they are referring to when OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing states say hostilities are unacceptable and new war will lead to devastation and casualties. One thing is to demand direct statements from mediators and the other from international agencies. We believe they can and must make direct statements. I hope this will happen in the future,” he said.
