YEREVAN. – Russia has urged Armenia and Azerbaijan to take additional measures to stabilize situation over Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The statements issued by Russian foreign ministry reflected Moscow’s concern over situation in Karbakh conflict zone, since servicemen were killed and civilians wounded as a result of frequent cases of ceasefire violation on the border and line of contact.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, in case of further escalation “negative consequences for the process of the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement are inevitable” and implementation of arrangements reached at the Azerbaijani- Armenian summit in Vienna on November 19, 2013 can be complicated.
Russia urges the parties to take additional measures to stabilize the situation, including introduction of mechanisms under the Agreement on strengthening of the ceasefire as of February 4, 1995.
