YEREVAN. – Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan on Friday received Italy’s Ambassador Giovanni Ricciulli.
Premier Sargsyan congratulated the ambassador on his appointment, wished him effective work in our country. He noted that Armenia-Italy relationship is based on friendly historical contacts and expressed hope that the ambassador will give a new impetus to existing relations.
Ambassador Ricciulli thanked Premier for warm reception, assuring him that during his term in office he will do everything for deepening of cooperation in many areas.
The sides discussed prospects for cooperation in bilateral format and within EU. The government appreciates EU’s assistance to the process of reforms. Premier Sargsyan emphasized that Armenia is interested in boosting relations with EU and expects active assistance of partner country on behalf of Italy.
The parties underscored importance of contacts between Armenian and Italian business circles and implementation of joint business projects.
