YEREVAN. – Armenian Nature Protection Ministry will implement Zangezur project more actively in 2014.
Minister Aram Harutyunyan said one of the tasks is to announce contest for a managing company. The project is designed for 3 years and is supported by the German Government and the German Development Bank KfW. The total cost is 8.25 million euro.
A new biosphere complex Zangezur will be created in Syunik Region, in Armenia’s south. The new complex will be formed by uniting Shikaokh national reserve and Arevik national park, and will focus on protection and studying of ecosystem of the mentioned territories. The complex may become a place for ecotourism.
