YEREVAN. – Secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council said we cannot expect CSTO’s response to any military incident between Armenian and Azerbaijani forces.
“No matter how tragic and painful the incidents are for our country, I cannot expect that CSTO could make statements constantly. There are five other member states of CSTO. Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha is repeatedly giving full answers to organization’s position on Armenia-Azerbaijan relations,” Arthur Baghdasaryan told reporters.
Nikolay Bordyuzha will travel to Armenia soon, Baghdasaryan said, assuring that the matter will be discussed.
He once again mentioned Azerbaijan’s policy of provoking incidents on the border and accusing Armenian side.
“Nevertheless the CSTO leadership expressed their opinion several times,” he added.
Junior Sergeant Armen Hovhannisyan was killed while repelling an act of sabotage of the Azerbaijani side on January 20.
