YEREVAN. – Spring session of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia kicked off Monday with the singing of the national anthem.  

At the proposal by NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan, the sitting got underway with a minute of silence in memory of Armenian soldier Armen Hovhannisyan, who was killed on January 20 while driving back an Azerbaijani military diversion.   

Opposition Heritage Party NA Faction Head Zaruhi Postanjyan, who is participating in five-month courses in the United States, is absent in Monday’s session.
