YEREVAN. – The offer of the Armenian parliamentary opposition on setting up an interim committee on gas issues is unacceptable, head of the ruling parliamentary group Galust Sahakyan told reporters.

An interim committee will not be set up as the ruling party will vote against the initiative.

“For us this is unacceptable. I have just studied the proposal. Discussions and hearings are needed to make such decision. Do we have to make a decision in a day?”

He also said that all political forces should participate in the discussion of this proposal.

As usual, the opposition is not trying to solve problems but is showing the public that “they are doing invaluable things”, Sahakyan told reporters.

He also said that the opposition raises questions, the answers to which can be received from the government at any time, therefore, setting up an interim committee is senseless.
