YEREVAN. – Any time when military operations begin in Nagorno-Karabakh, Russia will deploy troops to Azerbaijan.
Former Karabakh Committee member, Armenian political activist Ashot Manucharyan noted the above-said at a press conference on Friday.
He also expressed a view that Russia will take this step because it is looking for a chance to eliminate its opponents in Azerbaijan and assume control of this country.
“The Karabakh factor has two sides: One is associated with the safety issues, because of which our country is blackmailed very often. The talks that war may begin, the external pressures, etc., were done to sow fear among the people and prepare Armenia for any offered deal,” Manucharyan said.
On the other hand, as per the Armenian political figure, the situation in Russia is very unstable. The West is gradually creating great difficulties for the country.
“The only way out of this situation for Russia is the maintenance of internal stability. This is an external war, so the Russian side will not miss the convenient opportunity,” Ashot Manucharyan stressed.
