YEREVAN. – The number of cattle and sheep in Armenia has increased as of January 1, 2014, as compared to the previous year. 

The aforesaid factor affects the meat prices in domestic market, informs the Ministry of Agriculture press service.

The meat prices in Armenia continue to fall this year, too. Accordingly, the price of one-kilogram of beef has reduced by 100 to 150 drams (approximately 25-37 US cents), and the pork and sheep meat prices have dropped by 8-10 percent and 4-5 percent, respectively, as compared to last year.
