YEREVAN. – Former Soviet dissident and head of Armenian opposition party called Customs Union “insanity of 21st century”.

Paruyr Hayrikyan believes the very idea of creating Customs Union is ridiculous. He said the Armenian authorities must realize that Russia has material and financial interests in Customs Union.

Nowadays when “the dictatorship and terror of bolsheviks continues in the shape of Customs Union”, Armenian people must be reminded they are one of the most freedom-loving nations in the world.

“All political processes in Armenia are controlled by KGB,” he emphasized. At the same time he admits there are still those who value their independence.

“We must struggle to have an Armenian Armenia,” Hayrikyan added.
