YEREVAN. – Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian on Wednesday met with the members of Armenia-UK inter-parliamentary group headed by John Whittingdale.

Welcoming the guests,  Edward Nalbandian praised the contribution of the British parliament in the development of relations between the two countries.

Thanking for the reception, the British parliamentarians assured that they would continue efforts to deepen cooperation between Armenia and the United Kingdom.

The sides discussed the steps for further development of Armenian-British relations, Armenia-EU cooperation. In this context, the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation as an effective means of promoting bilateral relations was noted. They also touched upon the activities of the parliamentary friendship groups.

Nalbandian briefed the guests on the priorities of Armenia's foreign policy approaches to regional and international issues, the efforts of Armenia and the international community towards the settlement of the Nagorno- Karabakh conflict.
