The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) has already passed to road which the peoples of Europe that strive for independence must pass.

NKR National Assembly Speaker Ashot Ghulyan stated the aforesaid at the general assembly of the European Free Alliance (EFA), which is devoted to the peoples’ right to self-determination and the independence referendum of Scotland.

At the press conference on the results of his visit to Spain, Ghulyan said it was noted at the EFA general assembly that the people of Nagorno-Karabakh were the first to successfully conduct a referendum on independence in the post-Soviet expanse.

“In our case, however, the conflict did not end with that; Azerbaijan instigated a full-scale war,” he added.

Ashot Ghulyan also noted that, at the general assembly, he expressed willingness to convey NKR’s knowhow on organizing and holding a referendum on independence.
