Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych is wanted by police for mass murder, acting Internal Minister Arsen Avakov said.
“As of this morning, a criminal case on mass killings of civilians has been opened. Yanukovych and several other officials have been placed on the wanted list,” Interfax.com.ua quotes Avakov's message on Facebook.
Yanukovych left Kyiv on Friday to participate in the congress of the Party of Regions in Donetsk. Then he left for Crimea and drove off to an unknown location.
