YEREVAN. – Armenia’s share in the total volume of the Customs Union (CU) customs duties is not determined as of yet, Deputy Finance Minister Suren Karayan said at a press conference on Monday.
The minister explained that the present day ratio (Russia: 87.97%, Belarus: 4.70%, and Kazakhstan 7.33%) is set based on statistics. These countries’ imports from other countries and the amount of customs payments were analyzed in 2007 and 2008.
“And the rest will depend on the negotiations; they are not over yet; that’s why we cannot yet answer the question as what Armenia may aspire to,” Karayan stated.
