YEREVAN. – Armenian parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamyan said he assesses negatively any events similar to the recent Ukrainian developments when people are killed.
“Is there anything worse for the country when people are killed?” he wonders.
Asked about parallels between Kyiv developments and confrontation of March 1 in the center of Yerevan when 10 people were killed, Abrahamyan called it “very bad phenomenon”.
“I do not want to draw parallel. Let's think positively. Let's start doing something good for our people,” he added.
As to whether Ukrainian developments will affect Armenia, Speaker said he is not making forecasts.
